Banging the TomToms.

So I finally caved in and ordered a SatNav system for my car. I had previously dismissed them as, variously: mere toys, the preserve of truckers, overpriced and underfeatured or just a bit flash. Anyway, they now seem to be both pretty good and really cheap, so I decided to bite the bullet.

I ordered the TomTom ONE v2. I love that they called the "ONE" and then came out with a v2. A significant factor in that decision was that TomTom have a Mac OS X desktop app for managing their devices. The Mac app doesn't immediately look like a nasty knockoff of the Windows version, so that puts me in a better mood about it.

I don't have it yet, but I'm quite looking forward to playing with it.
